In the newspaper biz, here’s how copyediting works: You write the article. The copyeditor fixes it. Then the article runs. The writer can be amazed or enraged (sometimes both) by the results.
That’s my Basic Editing service, with one difference: You get to see the edits (and approve them) before you publish.
